LSB Selector Software makes it easy to design with LiteSteel beams. LSB Selector allows you to input beam spans, plus area, line, and point loads. Wind, snow, and seismic loads can also be input if desired. Properties for the full range of LSB products are pre-loaded in the software. In automatic mode, the LSB Selector software will recommend the best LSB solution for a set of input conditions. In manual mode, the user selects an LSB solution and the software will run a series of design checks to determine the suitability of the solution taking into account bending, shear, and deflection. The software provides both text and graphical reports. The text report shows all inputs, beam dimensions and properties as well as a summary of all design checks. The reports can be used by builders as attachments to their building permits. The new version (version 3.2) adds additional capabilities while maintaining the same ease of use.

- Specification of web stiffener locations
- Special handling of continuous joists
- Compatible with Windows Vista and Windows 7 operating systems

For users upgrading from Version 1.0: You will not need to register the software if you are installing on the same computer as version 1.0. The software will automatically import your registration key.

For users installing on Windows 7: You will need to set your personal security option to the lowest level for the LSB Selector Software to install and operate properly. You can increase the security setting when not using the LSB Selector Software.

Downloading and Using the LSB® Selector Software (Version 3.2)

1. Click on the provided link.

2. When a dialog box opens – click on Open

3. Wait for the download (this may take several minutes depending on your connection speed)

4. A window will open with two icons (LSB 3.2, Setup)

5. Double click on Setup (left mouse button)

6. Follow all prompts in setup wizard

7. When completed, an LSB icon will be installed on your desktop

8. To Open the LSB Selector Software, double click on the icon (left mouse button)

9. The first time you open the software, a Registration Key Validate dialog box will open

10. Click on Register Now in the upper right hand portion of the dialog box

11. You will be taken to a registration page (requires internet connection). Fill out all required fields on the registration page.

12. A registration key will be sent to the e-mail address you have provided on the form.

13. Enter the registration key you receive via e-mail (takes only minutes to arrive) in the spaces provided on the Registration Key Validate dialog box. You only need to go through this process the first time you use the software.

14. Each time the program opens the End User Agreement will appear. Please read the agreement and indicate your acceptance and the program will open.

15. To start a new project, select New under the File heading.
