The innovative cold forming manufacturing process gives LSB a unique profile with a flat, thin web and two hollow flanges. It is made from a single strip of high quality 50 ksi steel using patented simultaneous dual electric resistance welding technology. This process provides maximum structural performance in terms of load carrying capacity, bending moment and deflection from the amount of steel employed. The unique profile gives the torsional rigidity you would normally expect from hot rolled steel sections. The patented process strengthens the steel in the flanges giving LSB added strength where it is most effective.

LSB sections are protected against corrosion. They are produced from galvanized steel with a minimum of G-60 protective coating.
